Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta:

Ingredients:

- 8 ounces (225 grams) spaghetti or linguine

- 1 pound (450 grams) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided

- 4 cloves garlic, minced

- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust according to your spice preference)

- 1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth

- 1/4 cup heavy cream

- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

- Salt and black pepper to taste

- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and black pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp turns pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

4. In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and let it melt. Then, pour in the chicken or vegetable broth and scrape the bottom of the pan to deglaze it.

5. Reduce the heat to low and add the heavy cream. Stir well to combine and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.

6. Add the cooked pasta and grated Parmesan cheese to the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the sauce.

7. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss gently to combine with the pasta. Cook for an additional minute to heat the shrimp through.

8. Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
